There was a 9 day delay whilst an Icelandic volcano tried it's hardest to stall our flight, we finally got on and took off. As we were very lucky and got to travel business class, Jacob now thinks that long flights all have special seat/beds on them! I hope he keeps that memory, as it will be the only time we ever get to fly business class.
Since our return, all our old friends have made us feel really warm and fuzzy inside for making us feel so welcome to have returned. So a huge thank you to you all for all the things you got for us on our arrival, lent us whilst our stuff is in transit, bought us to keep us going and of course for all the play/coffee dates and just making us feel like we have never left.
We have been here for nearly two months already and have managed three 3 year old birthday parties, two tupperware parties, a few night outs (with children), lots of visits to the beach, some whale watching, sightings of dolphins, a trip to Blackbutt for Jacob to see the kangaroos and koalas and so many other things I can't even list.
Jacob is in child care on Mondays, which he started yesterday and has enjoyed. Swimming is going to be organised for next week and we go to playgroup on Thursday mornings. Normally an antenatal group get together is organised for every Friday and I meet up with other friends during the week too.
We're off to watch Wombat Stew at the local theatre in August, next month is Play School on tour and in December The Wiggles!
So not much!
Miss you all in the UK and Spain but we are happy to have returned to Newcastle, sorry guys.
Some photos I've taken since we got here:
